Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy believes Caoimhin Kelleher could leave the club this summer, with Chelsea or Newcastle likely to be the preferred options.

The Ireland international has impressed during Alisson Becker’s injury spell but has returned to the bench amid transfer speculation linking him with a move away in search of more playing time – and Murphy would understand his decision, with เล่น UFABET ผ่านมือถือ สะดวกทุกที่ ทุกเวลา the Blues or Magpies likely to be the options.
“I think next season at Liverpool we’ll have Alisson as number one and Giorgi Mamardashvili as back-up, and Caoimhin Kelleher will leave,” Murphy told.
“As far as I understand it, Kelleher will leave. He’s a great goalkeeper and deserves a chance to be number one. I think he’ll leave. Alisson is number one and Mamardashvili will take a season to learn and adapt.”
“Where would Kelleher go? I think Chelsea is the obvious choice, although Robert Sanchez has improved a lot. I think he’s been criticised unfairly for the little mistakes he’s made this season. I’m think he’s a good goalkeeper, he’s just a little bit nervous with the ball at his feet, but Chelsea is the obvious choice.
“I think the other team is Newcastle, if they want to improve themselves as a club and be competitive – Nick Pope has been a great goalkeeper over the years but the injury are so frequent now and he’s not good with his feet, he’s accept that.”
“For Kelleher, I think Newcastle or Chelsea are two great options,”
